Part 3: The Legend Of Zelda - NES

Now to the third dungeon. It's much easier to get to because it close to the
start. Going around to the left, I found the compass, and a secret room with a
raft. Coming back out, I found the map to the right, and headed towards the
boss. Dropping a few bombs seems to be to easiest way to beat the big pirahna
plant thing. I got another container heart and a piece of the Tri-Force.

Part 2: The Legend Of Zelda - NES

Back outside of the cave, I started towards the second dungeon, but unfortunatly
was killed on the way. After several more attempts I was able to get there. The
statues around the front also come to life when you touch them, so I carefully
removed them one by one. Then I went into the dungeon.

Going right, up and right again I found the compass, then left up 2 and right I
found the map. In the room between those I was able to knock over a few enemies
and got a blue boomerang from them. Continuing up and in one of the right rooms
I found a man who says "Dodongo dislikes smoke". Going further up and only
having 1 and 1/2 health left, I switched my secondary weapon to bombs, assuming
that might be Dodonga's weakness. This took a few tries but I found that you
need to drop the bombs pretty much directly in front of him, so that he ends up
eating them. I grabbed the heart container and the Tri-Force piece.

Gaming Throwback 2, Part 1: The Legend Of Zelda - NES

So I'm kinda new to the Zelda universe, and I figured I'd give the original game
a go.

First move seems to be to go into the cave to collect a sword. Then come out
and fight a bunch of monsters. It also seems to be easier when you have full
health, because you can throw the swords at enemies. Go right then up 4 screens,
then left and find the first cave.

I went into the left and right and got keys from the enemies in those rooms,
then up 2 rooms to get another key and right to get a compass. I then went back
to the left and around until I found a map. There was a room on the way, that I
haven't figured out how to get into yet. I then went up and followed the path
to where a staircase was. Pushing the stone out of the way, it reveals a secret
room with a bow. I went back to the map room and went through the next couple
of doors and had to fight a dragon. It was pretty simple, but that's what you'd
expect for a first boss. I picked up the container heart, went through the door
and picked up the first piece of the Tri-Force.
